WHAT WE OFFER

COSMETIC    DENTISTRY

A great smile is easy to see. The confidence behind it shines. You can have both.
That's right. Griffin Smiles is a leader in making your smile dreams come true. It can be a couple of simple procedures or a complete smile makeover, let us make it happen for you.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers - a thin strip of porcelain custom designed to fit on the front of your tooth - are the most common product used in television smile makeovers. They resemble real teeth in size, shape and color and are cemented to your misaligned, damaged or discolored teeth. The result is an amazing new, natural looking smile.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a safe, effective and long lasting option for anyone wanting an amazing smile. Using specialized gel and light sources, the strongest stains and discoloration can be eliminated, and you will be proud to flash your new smile. There also is a take home option. This "do-it yourself" choice can often be completed while you sleep.

Porcelain Bridges

Missing teeth can cause some unique dental and cosmetic challenges. You might experience pain, have teeth shift, and frustrating gaps in your mouth. Porcelain bridges are a great solution because they are custom designed to keep your bite functional, your smile aligned, and, perhaps most importantly, maintain your comfort. The bridge is attached to existing teeth or crowns and are put in or taken out by a dentist. They provide an excellent long-term solution to a damaged smile.

Porcelain Crowns

Teeth chipping, cracking, discoloring, and decaying can all be caused by a lifetime of stress on teeth. Crowns are the perfect solution. Made from all porcelain or porcelain fused to metal, crowns are shaded to match your teeth. They are fitted to make sure all your teeth are working together properly and improve appearance. Pain while chewing or sensitivity to hot or cold, might indicate that a crown might be the best solution for you.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings - we call them composite fillings - are a mixture of glass and plastic that bonds much better to the tooth. Dr. Griffin and Dr. Barton blend materials to match the shape and shade of your teeth. And in the long run can strengthen the existing tooth. Simply put, they are more attractive than dark, metal fillings.

Invisalign™

Using 3D computer imaging, a smile can be straightened using Invisalign™ and not metal braces. Patients have no food restrictions or uncomfortable brackets or wires because you remove them. The 3D model creates an entire treatment plan and images of what the smile will eventually look like. Treatment times can vary between five to 15 months with a series of "aligners" being replaced regularly.

RESTORATIVE    DENTISTRY

Life - diet, stress and certain lifestyle habits - are sometimes tough on your health including your mouth, teeth and smile. You don't have to "deal" pain or discomfort.
At Griffin Smiles, we can help you maintain or return your mouth to excellent health and/or fix a smile. The result might just, perhaps, lead to improved overall health.

Implants

When someone needs to completely replace a single tooth or several teeth, a dental implant is the most stable and comfortable solution. A titanium post is placed in the jaw bone area where the tooth is missing. The post bonds to bone which provides a secure foundation to attach a custom created crown.

Implant Supported Dentures

Missing teeth creates challenges chewing and can create long-term problems such as lost bone and facial muscle tone. So many people turn to dentures but cannot wear them - they shift and need adhesives to keep them in place. Patients with some teeth left can turn to partial dentures. Another great solution is Implant Supported Dentures which stimulate the bone and reduce future bone loss. Other benefits include a solid fit which reduces problems seen with conventional dentures and distributing biting pressure more like natural teeth. Patients can replace a full set of teeth or missing sections with a natural-looking smile.

Dentures and Partial Dentures

A denture is used to replace missing teeth and tissue. They should resemble natural teeth and can improve a smile. When all of the teeth are gone, a complete denture is used. A partial denture is used when some teeth remain. A complete denture may take about a month and require several appointments. While dentures are durable and should last for many years, they may have to be remade, repaired, readjusted due to normal wear, and bone loss.

Crown

Crowns, sometimes called "caps," crowns are customized to cover broken, cracked, decayed or discolored teeth. Crowns are a long-term solution that help and function of your smile. At Griffin Smiles, the team uses a CEREC machine which can make your crown in one day, one visit rather than weeks.

Bridge

When gum disease, injury, decay or every day result in the loss of a tooth, the large gap in your smile can cause problems with your dental health. A lifelike, functional bridge attached to teeth on both sides of a gap may be your solution to eliminate pain and discomfort. Dr. Griffin and Dr. Barton use metal, alloys and porcelain to create a great solution to restore lasting oral health.

Temporomandibular Disorders (TMJ)

Sometimes incorrectly called TMJ, Temporomandibular Disorders are issues with the jaw, jaw joint and facial muscles. A poorly functioning joint - Temporomandibular joint - can become inflamed and lead to headaches, locked jaws and other problems. Dr. Griffin or Dr. Barton can recommend treatments to help reduce pain, correct dental problems that exaggerate the disorder or change habits that increase symptoms. Treatment options may include a plastic biteplate, a splint worn over your teeth or a nightguard. Recognizing overall good health begins with oral health, Dr. Griffin and Dr. Barton include screening Temporomandibular Disorders for every patient.

Inlays / Onlays

To remove tooth decay effectively, a portion of the tooth is removed. A great option for Dr. Griffin and Dr. Barton is an inlay or onlay when the lost portion is too large for a filling but small enough to avoid a crown. Made of porcelain, they look like natural teeth and help eliminate chewing pain, cavity pain and tooth degeneration.
